I began a series of articles right before the 2020 election. It struck me as important to witness and communicate troubling political events. If only a Trumpist family member would heed my warning, I thought, and vote for decency and democracy. My articles kept coming — through the insurrection at the Capitol and the aftermath, through the overturning of Roe, and now continue in the face of right wing authoritarian creep and the 2nd Trump administration. I will keep writing essays as we slog through the nightmare. Part of resistance to tyranny is pleasure and delight, spirituality and creativity. It does not all have to be grim. Indeed, authoritarians hate humor and they are intimidated by people who are not afraid of the bully tactics. Join me in this dance for democracy. Crows, dogs, and Druid Life will find their way into these writings. Above all I’m hopeful and believe we can overcome. Thank you for reading! Please feel free to share with others, and leave a message if you’d like.
